The leaves display naturalistic veining and lobed edges characteristic of Acer saccharum. The legend CANADA arcs across the upper field, while FINE SILVER 1 OZ ARGENT PUR is inscribed along the lower arc in bilingual English and French. The fineness mark 9999 appears to the right of the leaves, accompanied by the engraver's initials SW.
