| Reverse description | Three overlapping sugar maple leaves rendered in finely detailed high relief, their stems intertwined at the lower centre of the field, after the design by Susan Taylor. The leaves display naturalistic veining and lobed edges characteristic of Acer saccharum. The "Triple Maple" designation refers to the RCM's layered die-finishing technique applied to the maple leaf elements, creating differential surface textures between foreground and background relief — a process the mint has refined across its premium bullion and collector programs since the early 2010s. Charles III's effigy on Canadian coinage uses the official portrait by Canadian sculptor Steven Rosati, approved for circulation and collector issues following the King's accession in September 2022. Canada was among the first Commonwealth nations to transition its coinage portrait.
