| Beschrijving keerzijde | The reverse presents an elaborately engraved sundial face as its central motif, featuring a richly detailed ground of acanthus scrollwork interspersed with cherub heads in the baroque tradition. Roman numerals VI through XII and I through VI arc around the circumference at regular hour intervals, flanking the ornate dial plate. Rising from a stylized sunflower base at the lower centre, a three-dimensional rhodium-plated brass gnomon is cast and applied to the coin surface, projecting outward to function as an actual timekeeping shadow-caster. The engraver's initials AB appear in the lower right field. The overall composition combines struck silver relief with the cast embellishment to create a striking mixed-media numismatic artwork. |
