| Obverse description | Uncrowned effigy of King Charles III facing left, rendered in high relief after the portrait by sculptor Steven Rosati, depicting the sovereign at approximately 74 years of age with natural hair and open collar. The legend CHARLES III is inscribed along the left arc of the coin, while D·G·REX appears along the right arc, both in raised Latin lettering. The denomination 20 DOLLARS is inscribed along the lower portion of the field. The engraver's initials SR appear discreetly below the portrait truncation.
