Canadian radio station auction scrip occupies a peculiar corner of notaphily — these pieces circulated within a single broadcast event, used by telephone bidders to settle lots won during on-air charity or clearance auctions. CFLP 1000 operated out of Rimouski as a French-language AM station serving the lower St. Lawrence region. The 1992 date places this squarely in the period when local Quebec broadcasters were running these auction fundraisers as a regular programming format, issuing denominated paper to participating bidders rather than handling cash incrementally.
