| Opis rewersu | The reverse displays a single large honey bee in dramatic high relief, gold-plated and occupying the upper central portion of the field, depicted in a top-down perspective with wings spread and legs extended, carrying a gold-plated pollen ball beneath its body. The bee's compound eyes, striped abdomen, and delicate wing structure are rendered with exceptional engraving precision. The background field is composed of an elaborate radiating pattern of hexagonal honeycomb cells and diminutive bee motifs, transitioning from large and deeply incused cells in the upper field to progressively smaller elements that dissolve into a fine stippled texture toward the lower periphery. The overall design is unlettered on this face, allowing the sculptural naturalistic composition to dominate the field entirely. |
