Bank of America's travelers cheque program was for decades one of the highest-volume operations of its kind in the world, and the Jeffries Banknote Company — a Los Angeles security printer with a long working relationship with West Coast financial institutions — handled a substantial portion of the production. Jeffries was eventually acquired by American Bank Note Company, and much of its output became absorbed into that larger archive.
The issuing name here is precise: the National Trust and Savings Association charter, rather than the later reorganized entity. Worth noting for dating purposes.
