| Opmerkingen |
The P#27 series ran for nearly a decade through a period of acute economic difficulty in Guyana — the late 1980s and early 1990s saw the country under IMF structural adjustment, chronic foreign exchange shortages, and a parallel black market rate that rendered official denominations economically awkward almost from the start.
De La Rue printed the full run in London. The single watermark security is modest even by the standards of the period, reflecting what the Guyanese government could afford to specify in the printing contract rather than any deliberate design choice.
