| Beschrijving voorzijde | The obverse is dominated by two large vignettes: a tall-ship under sail occupies the left portion, while a paddle-wheel steamboat is rendered in the centre-right field. The denomination numeral '20' appears in large counters at lower left and upper right, with an elaborate guilloche underprint throughout. The bank title 'THE BANK OF ACADIA' is inscribed across the centre in bold serif lettering, above a handwritten script 'Twenty Dollars' legend, and serial number panels '0037' appear in twin ovals at the upper portion.
