The Council for Commodity Trade of the Federal People's Republic of Yugoslavia was a short-lived administrative body operating within the early Titoist economic apparatus, and its authority to issue scrip-like instruments reflects the fractured, experimentally centralized nature of Yugoslav commerce in the immediate postwar years. These notes functioned less as conventional currency than as internal trade certificates, circulating within specific commodity distribution channels rather than the open market.

The issuer dissolved before the notes saw wide use, which partly accounts for their scarcity today.
