| Beschrijving keerzijde | The reverse presents the large numeral '20' prominently within a raised square frame at center. The denomination is expressed in four languages of Yugoslavia, each placed along one side of the square frame: 'DINARA' at the top in Latin script (Serbo-Croatian), 'ДИХАРА' at the right in Cyrillic (Macedonian), 'ДИНАРА' at the bottom in Cyrillic (Serbian), and 'DINARJEV' at the left in Latin script (Slovenian). The overall design is modern and typographic, with no additional ornamental elements in the field. |

| Aanvullende informatie |
By 1988, Yugoslavia's inflation rate had already exceeded 200% annually and was accelerating toward the hyperinflationary collapse that would see the dinar redenominated — lopping off zeros — in 1990. Coins of this denomination were effectively worthless in purchasing terms within months of issue, which paradoxically left many surviving in uncirculated condition simply because nobody bothered spending them when paper notes were faster to use and easier to carry in the quantities required.
