| 备注 |
The Gambia switched to polymer for this denomination in 2014, part of a broader regional trend toward substrate modernization driven primarily by De La Rue's active marketing of polymer to smaller African central banks during the 2010s. For a country of The Gambia's size and import dependency, the cost-per-note economics of polymer only make sense at longer circulation lifespans — the material's resistance to humidity and folding wear is particularly relevant in the West African climate.
P#30 superseded the earlier cotton-paper 20 Dalasi series. De La Rue has held the Gambian printing contract continuously for decades.
