A central vignette presents the portrait of Marshal Manoel Deodoro da Fonseca, first President of the Republic (1889–1891), set within an ornate engraved frame and flanked on both sides by the denomination numeral 20. The face bears the issuing authority inscriptions, the denomination in full, and the VALOR LEGAL overprint, with the printer's imprint at the lower border. |
