| 正面描述 | Right-facing draped bust of Queen Elizabeth II, depicted in a youthful effigy with her hair arranged upswept and adorned with a tiara or floral wreath. The legend 'ELIZABETH II · TURKS AND CAICOS ISLANDS' arcs around the periphery, with the date '1991' positioned at the base of the field. The word 'STERLING' appears in small lettering to the right of the bust, indicating the silver fineness. The portrait is rendered in high relief against a deeply mirrored proof field. |

Issued to mark the 500th anniversary of Columbus's 1492 voyage, this piece belongs to a broader commemorative program released across several Caribbean territories in the early 1990s. The Pinta was the fastest of the three ships on the first crossing, captained by Martín Alonso Pinzón — who died within weeks of returning to Spain in 1493, reportedly from illness contracted during the voyage.
KM#116.2 denotes the second variety; collectors should verify the reverse die characteristics against the first listing.
