Reverse description A dynamic depiction of a male pole vaulter in full athletic form, arching over the bar with pole in hand, rendered within a decorative stylized oval frame evoking a flame or laurel motif. The inscription XXVI SUMMER OLYMPICS arcs across the upper field, while ATLANTA 1996 is prominently lettered in the lower field. A small engraver's initial mark appears in the lower centre of the design.

Additional information

Issued ahead of the 1996 Atlanta Olympics, this is one of several sport-specific crowns the Turks and Caicos Islands produced through the mid-1990s under licensing arrangements that were more about the bullion commemorative market than any local athletic tradition. The islands had no Olympic team presence worth noting at the time. The coin exists because a mint contractor saw a market, not because anyone in Grand Turk demanded it.
