Obverse description Facing left, the wreathed head of a satyr (Pan), rendered in the characteristic style of Pantikapaion coinage, with pronounced bestial features including pointed ears and a vine wreath encircling the brow. The portrait is executed in high relief with boldly modelled facial features typical of the Hellenistic artistic tradition of the Bosporan Kingdom. The field is plain, with the portrait occupying the full flan.
