Obverse description Diademed and draped bust of Cleopatra VII facing right, her hair elaborately dressed and pulled back, adorned with a diadem. The effigy is rendered in the Hellenistic portrait style characteristic of late Ptolemaic coinage. A circular Greek legend surrounds the bust within a dotted border. The portrait conveys the regal authority of the queen, consistent with her divine and royal titulature.
