Obverse description Central field features a highly detailed Imperial Korean dragon rendered in high relief, facing left with claws extended, its sinuous body coiled dynamically within a beaded inner circle. The dragon motif is characteristic of the Gwang Mu era coinage, executed in the East Asian artistic tradition. Flanking the central device, four bullet-shaped decorative dots mark the cardinal positions between the inscriptions. The surrounding legend, arranged in four segments outside the beaded circle, reads in Chinese characters, Hangul, and Latin script: 大韓 (Great Korea) at top, 光武九年 (9th year of Gwang Mu) to the right, 이십젼 (Twenty Jeon) to the left, and 20 CHON at the base. The entire design is bounded by a finely reeded outer rim.
