Obverse description The full Jamaican coat of arms occupies the central field, featuring a quartered shield charged with five golden pineapples supported on either side by a Taino man and woman in traditional dress. Above the shield, a Jamaican crocodile passant surmounts a royal helmet and mantling. A scroll below bears the national motto in the legend OUT OF MANY ONE PEOPLE, with the country name JAMAICA arcing across the upper field and the date of issue positioned at the bottom, all within a toothed rim.
