Descrizione del dritto	Left-facing draped bust of Queen Victoria, youthful and laureate with a wreath of olive leaves in her hair, her tresses gathered in a chignon at the nape. The effigy, engraved by Leonard Charles Wyon, is rendered in high relief with fine detailing characteristic of specimen strikings. The legend VICTORIA DEI GRATIA REGINA encircles the upper periphery, with the word CANADA positioned along the lower border. The field displays exceptional mirror-like reflectivity consistent with a proof or specimen finish, and the coin is bordered by a fine toothed denticular rim.

Descrizione del rovescio	Central denomination 20 CENTS and date 1858 are displayed in three lines within an ornate wreath of maple leaves and branches, a distinctly Canadian motif. A royal crown surmounts the wreath at the top, while a tied bow of maple sprigs forms the lower closure. The design elements are crisply struck with strong relief against a deeply mirrored field, consistent with the specimen nature of this pattern issue. A toothed denticular border frames the entire reverse composition.
