| Obverse description | The left portion of the note carries the bank title in Chinese characters (直隸省銀行) at the top, with a red serial number below and a large purple guilloche vignette in the centre bearing the denomination 貳角 in Chinese. A teal-coloured vignette at right, set within an arched frame with ornate guilloche border, presents a scenic view of the Great Wall of China winding across a mountainous landscape. Denomination panels reading 貳角 appear at the upper left and lower left corners, while red overprints indicate the Tientsin branch (天津) and the Republican year of issue at the lower right. |
