The circular legend REPUBLIQUE FRANÇAISE runs along the upper periphery within a beaded border, with the engraver's signature BARRE incuse in the lower exergue. The date 1909 appears prominently in the lower exergue beneath a raised baseline, framed by the beaded rim. |
