| 背面描述 | The reverse follows the standard European 20 euro cent design format, featuring the large numeral '20' dominating the left and central field, overlaid on a globe motif rendered with diagonal lines. To the right, a finely detailed equestrian figure — depicting a robed and crowned rider on horseback — occupies the upper right field, referencing the style of the standard euro coinage national design. A ring of twelve five-pointed stars encircles the periphery. An oval cartouche bearing the word 'SPECIMEN' is struck prominently in the lower central field. |

The Laxey Wheel — formally the Lady Isabella Wheel — was completed in 1854 to pump water from the Great Laxey Mine, then one of the most productive lead and zinc operations in the British Isles. At 22 metres in diameter it remains the largest surviving working waterwheel in the world. The mine itself closed in 1929; the wheel became a tourist attraction and Manx national symbol long before this coin was issued.
Specimen strikes for Isle of Man collector issues of this period were produced by Pobjoy Mint under contract, with surface quality noticeably superior to their bullion counterparts.
