Obverse description The obverse features the fourth definitive effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, modelled by Ian Rank-Broadley, depicted as a right-facing draped bust wearing the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland tiara. The peripheral legend reads ELIZABETH II to the upper left and AUSTRALIA to the upper right, with the date 2009 positioned at the lower right. The engraver's initials IRB appear on the truncation of the bust.
