Obverse lettering ELIZABETH II AUSTRALIA 1999 TWENTY CENTS IRB
Reverse description A faithful recreation of the reverse design of the Australian threepence of 1942 (KM#37), featuring three upright wheat ears bound together at their stems by a decorative ribbon, their heads fanning outward to fill the upper field. The date 1942 is divided at centre left and right by the wheat stalks, with the mintmark letters K and G flanking the ribbon knot below. The legend AUSTRALIA arcs above and THREE PENCE curves along the lower periphery, all within a beaded border. The design is struck to proof standard with frosted devices against a mirror field.
