| Obverse description | Fourth portrait effigy of Queen Elizabeth II facing right, wearing the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland tiara, rendered in fine detail after the model by Ian Rank-Broadley. The legend ELIZABETH II arcs along the left field, with AUSTRALIA and the date 2015 continuing around the right periphery. The engraver's initials IRB appear truncated below the effigy. The portrait is executed in a naturalistic style with finely engraved hair and jewel details characteristic of the Rank-Broadley series. |
