| Obverse description | Two crossed wheat ears flank the central round hole, their stems meeting at the base of the coin in a symmetrical composition. The legend ETAT FRANÇAIS is inscribed in two lines across the upper field in large raised letters. The engraver's signature A. DE G. appears in small characters at the lower left, near the base of the wheat stalks. The overall design is rendered in a plain, utilitarian style consistent with the wartime Vichy French State coinage. The reeded outer rim frames the design. |
