Obverse description Left-facing draped bust of the Republic personified as Ceres, goddess of the harvest, wearing a pearl necklace and a composite crown of wheat ears, olive branches with olives, and oak branches with acorns, with ribbons descending onto the neck and passing across the forehead. The word CONCOR is inscribed on the ribbon across the forehead. The legend RÉPUBLIQUE FRANÇAISE encircles the effigy, rendered in the Neoclassical style characteristic of Oudiné's engraving.
