| Obverse description | Central device depicts the Mexican republican eagle displayed, perched upon a cactus rising from a rocky islet and grasping a serpent in its beak, flanked by laurel and oak branches in the lower field. The design is rendered in a primitive, locally struck style characteristic of Revolutionary-era emergency coinage. A border of raised dots frames the central device on the inner periphery. The arched legend REPUBLICA MEXICANA runs along the upper periphery, while the date 1915 appears in the lower exergual area. |
