Two ornamental rosette devices flank the lower field. The circular legend 'MOÇAMBIQUE' arcs around the upper periphery, while the date appears in the lower exergual area, all enclosed within a beaded border.

附加信息	Issued in the final years of Portuguese colonial administration, these pieces were struck just as the Carnation Revolution in Lisbon — April 1974 — dismantled the Estado Novo regime and set Mozambique on an accelerated path to independence, achieved in June 1975. Coins dated 1974 were effectively minted for a colonial authority that ceased to exist within months of their production.
