| Obverse description | The Honduran national coat of arms occupies the central field, depicting an oval cartouche enclosing a landscape with a triangular volcano between two towers, flanked by quivers of arrows below crossed cannons and rifles, supported by a wreath of oak and pine branches. A cornucopia and a quiver of arrows flank the shield on either side. The circular legend REPUBLICA DE HONDURAS arcs along the upper periphery, while the date appears prominently in the lower field. A fine dentilated border frames the entire design. |

| Additional information |
Honduras suspended silver coinage for much of the 1930s and 1940s as dollar-pegged monetary policy and wartime metal demands disrupted mint schedules. The 1931–1958 date range on KM#73 is therefore misleading as a production indicator — actual striking years were sparse, and some dates within that span were not issued at all.
