Obverse description The Cuban national coat of arms occupies the central field, featuring the characteristic shield divided into three sections with a key, royal palm, and rising sun, surmounted by a Phrygian cap and supported by an oak and laurel branch. A wreath of rays encircles the lower portion of the arms. The circular legend 'REPUBLICA DE CUBA' arcs along the upper periphery, while 'VEINTE CENTAVOS' curves along the lower periphery. A continuous row of denticles borders the entire design close to the rim.
