| 正面描述 | Left-facing draped bust of Liberty wearing a Phrygian cap, her flowing hair rendered in fine curling locks cascading over her shoulder, executed in high relief in the neoclassical style. The legend REPUBLICA ARGENTINA curves along the upper periphery in raised Latin letters, flanked by two small five-pointed stars positioned at the lower left and right of the bust. The date appears in the lower exergual area, with a beaded border encircling the entire design. |

This long-running type survived two world wars, the collapse of the gold standard, and a decade of political instability under the Infamous Decade (1930–1943) without a single design change — a remarkable institutional inertia. Production continued at the Casa de Moneda in Buenos Aires throughout, though annual mintages fluctuated sharply with nickel supply pressures during the Second World War, contributing to the series' termination in 1942.
