| Obverse description | At center, a condor displayed with wings spread wide, facing left, perched atop a rocky promontory with one talon resting upon a heraldic shield bearing the Chilean arms. The bird is rendered in fine relief with detailed feathering throughout. Two small five-pointed stars flank the lower field on either side of the date. The date appears in the lower exergue, and the national motto legend curves around the upper periphery. |
