Reverse description The reverse displays a countermark of the Argentine coat of arms, consisting of an oval shield depicting a rising sun above a handshake flanked by a pike surmounted by a liberty cap, all enclosed within a wreath of laurel branches tied at the base. The date '1870' from the original Paraguayan host coin is visible in the upper field, now appearing inverted relative to the countermark's orientation. The surrounding milled border of the host coin remains intact. The Argentine arms countermark is boldly struck and well-centred, dominating the reverse field.
