背面描述 The reverse is printed in brown intaglio throughout. A central octagonal vignette encloses a pastoral scene with two resting dogs beside a rustic building set against a hillside landscape. Flanking the central vignette are two large denomination numerals '0.20' in elaborate guilloche cartouches, with the word 'VEINTE' inscribed to the left and right in the lateral panels. Intricate lathework and floral rosette corner ornaments fill the remaining field, and the imprint 'American Bank Note Co. New York' appears in small letterpress along the bottom margin.

备注

The Banco de la Província de Buenos Ayres occupied an unusual position in Argentine monetary history — it functioned as the de facto central bank for the province long before any federal institution existed, and its notes circulated under ongoing political tension between Buenos Aires and the national government. The 1869 date places this note in the period following the province's forced reintegration into the Argentine Confederation after the 1861 Battle of Pavón, when provincial banking remained stubbornly independent.

The American Bank Note Company printed for this bank across multiple series and denominations during the 1860s and 1870s. The "Fuertes" denomination system distinguished these notes from the inflated paper pesos that preceded them — an attempt at monetary credibility that lasted only until provincial finances deteriorated again in the 1870s.
