| 备注 |
The Banco de la Província de Buenos Aires occupied an unusual position in Argentine monetary history — it was a provincial institution issuing its own paper currency well into the period when the national government was actively consolidating monetary authority in Buenos Aires city. This note dates to the same year Argentina officially adopted the peso de oro as its national monetary unit under the 1881 monetary reform, making the Provincia's continued parallel issuance a politically charged act, however routine it appeared commercially.
ABNC production at this denomination level typically involved steel-engraved intaglio work of high quality. The PS# prefix confirms this is catalogued as a private bank (provincial) issue rather than a national emission.
