| Obverse description | At right, front-facing portrait busts of Ghana's six independence leaders — Kwame Nkrumah, Ebenezer Ako-Adjei, Edward Akufo-Addo, Joseph Boakye Danquah, Emmanuel Obetsebi-Lamptey, and William Ofori Atta — are rendered in intaglio against a multicolour guilloche underprint.
