Obverse description Central field bears four large Chinese ideograms arranged vertically reading '大清銅幣' (Great Qing Copper Coin), flanked by Manchu script above. A further circular legend in Chinese characters surrounds the central inscription, reading the denomination and reign period. The overall layout follows the standardised Ta-Ching-Ti-Kuo copper cash format, with the inscriptions executed in regular script (kaishu). Manchu script appears at the top of the coin, providing the bilingual imperial identification characteristic of late Qing coinage.
Obverse script Chinese (traditional, regular script) / Manchu
