Obverse description Central field features four large Chinese ideograms arranged in a cruciform reading pattern, flanked by Manchu script characters positioned above. A circular border legend in Chinese characters surrounds the central device, denoting the issuing authority (Ministry of Revenue), the mint of origin (Szechuan), and the denomination (20 Cash). The cyclical year characters 酉己 appear at the periphery, corresponding to the 46th year of reign. The overall design is crisp and typographic in character, consistent with the milled machine-struck coinage of the late Qing reform series.
