Obverse description Round cast brass coin featuring a central square hole flanked by four Chinese characters arranged in cruciform fashion within the plain inner field. Reading clockwise from the top, the inscription reads 咸豐重寶 (Xianfeng Zhongbao), denoting the reign title of the Xianfeng Emperor and the designation 'heavy currency.' The characters are rendered in regular script (kaishu) with bold, well-defined strokes typical of Qing dynasty cash coinage. The broad, flat rim frames the field without ornamental border decoration.
