Obverse description A stylized elephant with dotted body decoration stands facing left within a dotted border. Above the elephant, the Kannada syllable 'Sri' appears in the upper field, flanked by a solar symbol to the upper left and a crescent moon to the upper right. The design is rendered in a bold, archaic provincial style characteristic of Mysore princely coinage of the early nineteenth century.
