Opmerkingen

The P#53 series was issued across a period of relative oil-driven prosperity in Venezuela, when the bolívar was still a genuinely strong currency — the 1973 oil shock had enriched the state rather than destabilized it. American Bank Note Company held the printing contract throughout, as they did for much of Venezuela's mid-century paper.

The series ran through several signature combinations across the 1974–1979 window, and date-signature pairing is the primary variable that distinguishes individual issues within the type. Collectors working the series need to track both fields carefully.
