Reverse description The denomination 20 BATZEN and the date 1809 are inscribed in three lines across the central field in bold Latin capital letters, the numeral '20' appearing prominently at the top. The inscription is framed by a wreath of oak branches, richly detailed with acorns and leaves, tied at the base with a ribbon bow. The wreath and lettering are enclosed within a finely milled border consistent with the obverse treatment, giving the pattern a balanced and elegant appearance typical of early nineteenth-century Swiss cantonal coinage.
