| Reverse description | Central device features the official seal of Chiang Mai University, depicting an elephant walking to the left and raising its trunk to support a flaming torch emitting eight rays of light, all enclosed within a circle. The university motto in Pali script arcs above the central device, while the university name and its year of establishment (B.E. 2507) appear below. Six-petalled teak flower (Tectona grandis) ornaments flank the composition on either side, dividing the surrounding inscriptions. The denomination and country name appear at the base, and a commemorative inscription noting the 60th anniversary of the university (21 January B.E. 2567 / AD 2024) is incorporated into the legend. |
