Obverse description Facing bust of King Bhumibol Adulyadej (Rama IX) depicted in contemporary dress, wearing spectacles and a suit with necktie, rendered in a realistic portrait style. The effigy is centered within the field, with the royal Thai inscription running along the left and right periphery of the coin in Thai script. Small decorative royal cypher devices appear at the upper left and upper right of the legend arc.
