Opmerkingen

Rama IX — Bhumibol Adulyadej — died on 13 October 2016 after a 70-year reign, the longest of any monarch in Thai history. This note was issued as part of a broader commemorative series released during the official mourning period, which the Thai government extended to one year. The Bank of Thailand printed it domestically at its own facility in Bangkok, a press that has handled virtually all Thai currency production since the late 1960s.

Pick 130 carries a watermark as its primary security feature — relatively sparse by contemporary standards, though the commemorative intent placed symbolic weight above technical complexity.
