| Aanvullende informatie |
Issued to mark the centenary of Princess Srinagarindra's birth, this coin commemorates the mother of both King Bhumibol Adulyadej (Rama IX) and King Ananda Mahidol (Rama VIII), who died under disputed circumstances in 1946. Srinagarindra herself outlived one son and spent decades as a working royal, founding the Princess Mother's Medical Volunteer Foundation, which operated mobile health clinics in remote highland communities well into the 1990s. She died in 1995 at the age of 94, five years before this issue.
