Obverse description Front-facing effigy of King Chulalongkorn (Rama V) depicted in military uniform with epaulettes, decorative collar chain, and medals on his chest. The portrait is rendered in high relief with fine detail in the facial features, including a distinctive moustache and beard. A circular Thai-script legend surrounds the effigy along the rim, identifying the monarch by his full royal title.
