The Note Printing Works in Bangkok has produced Thai currency in-house since 1969, giving the central bank direct control over production — an arrangement that reflects a broader postwar policy of reducing reliance on foreign printers such as Thomas De La Rue and Bradbury Wilkinson, both of which printed earlier Thai issues.
